Bath tub paint

Have you heard of pinterest?  If not, go check it out.  It's opened a whole new world of really cool stuff for me.  One of the things I found last week was a recipe for bath tub paints courtesy of The Idea Room.
The recipe couldn't be simpler.  It calls for 4 ingredients, all of which we had in the house.

Bath Tub Paint (ingredients are listed for one color)

2 Tablespoons of Cornstarch
1/4 cup baby shampoo
3-5 drops of food coloring
water, a few drops until mixture is smooth
Put the cornstarch, shampoo and food coloring in the bowl.  Mix the ingredients - it will be very thick.  Slowly add water until the mixture starts to even out and the cornstarch dissolves.  It will look a little foamy, but that's ok.
We had just enough shampoo to make 2 colors.  I attempted to half the recipe to make green, but it didn't turn out as well.
After mixing the colors, we started the bath.  The cups we used are from Ikea, and they float, so I just let the bowls float around Emily and armed her with some foam brushes and big paint brushes and let her go to town.
She painted her legs, feet, belly, arms, toenails.  She painted the bathtub, toys - whatever she could get her hands on.  The water was a lovely grey when all was said and done, but it didn't stain our white tub or tile and it's definitely something that she's already asking to do again.  Guess I need to stock up on baby shampoo!
